The metabolic fields are specific structuring fields for the human embryo. These include contusion/compression, distusion/swelling, retension/stillness and detraction /sheering fields, which form the musculoskeletal system and important parts of the heart. During this seminar palpation skills will focus on merging the early and late metabolic fields into a single fluid continuum via the cardiovascular system. Attention to the cardiovascular system has been demonstrated to change brain function and the way emotions are processed. The muscles, bones and fascia will also be palpated as different gradients of fluid activity. These skills are vital in rehabilitating the central, autonomic and cardiovascular systems.
