THE SURFER ON THE TIDE

* OCTOBER 6TH - 9TH 2012 *

WITH MICHAEL KERN D.O., B.C.S.T., M.I.Cr.A., N.D.

This advanced seminar will explore the relationship between our physiological function and stillness. There is a basic ground of stillness that lies underneath all expressions of life and motion; a realm of unmanifest reality at our deepest nature that is behind and prior to all that we do. Most significantly, healing occurs at its deepest level when we are able to reconnect to this core level of being. As Dr. Rollin Becker stated, “Health is related to a return to the freedom of interchange between body physiology and stillness.” We will explore different levels of stillness and find new ways to make these part of our cellular experience.

Areas explored will include:

  • three dimensional awareness of the three bodies: physical body, fluid body and tidal body
  • the suspensory nature of the primary respiratory system
  • the relationship between the fluid body and primary respiration: transmutation and embodied forces
  • Dr Sutherland's principle of "idling"
  • orienting to stillpoints within the three bodies
  • the significance and suspensory nature of the midline
  • stillpoints revisited - EV4 from the scapulae/heart field
  • stillpoint and ignition at the third ventricle: CV3 and EV3
  • the seven levels of stillpoint
  • health as dynamic stillness and and rhythmic balanced interchange
  • orienting to the 'silent partner'
