Claire qualified in Osteopathy in 1985 and in Craniosacral Therapy in 1987. Since then she has established a busy professional practice and has taught Craniosacral Therapy on various courses within Great Britain and around the world. She specialises in working with infants, children and families. She has completed a Prenatal and Birth Training with Ray Castellino D.C. and is an assistant on his training. Claire sings and is involved with native American teachings, which are a strong source of inspiration and relaxation.
Before becoming a Craniosacral Therapist, Tracy studied drama and was a founding member of the "How Absurd Theatre Company". She also worked as a Movement Tutor, and ran movement and spatial awareness workshops. She graduated with CTET in 2004, and since 2006 has been a Co-ordinator at the Trust's Teaching Clinic as well as tutor on the Practitioner Training courses. Tracy has two craniosacral practices in London and Reigate, Surrey where she lives with her husband and two children. She has a morning practice of meditation and stillness, and sometimes chanting. Hobbies include reading, walking, renovating her house, and being a general taxi driver and social secretary for her children.
Jim was a personal student of Dr. Randolph Stone, osteopath and pioneering founder of Polarity Therapy, and commenced professional practice in 1973. He taught holistic medicine at a number of universities in the USA and then graduated as a doctor of Chiropractic in 1987. He moved to Europe in 1992 and has become a highly regarded teacher in Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and the UK. His has worked together with Franklyn Sills, Michael Kern and others in Craniosacral Biodynamics, with Stanley Keleman in somatic psychology, with Dr. Peter Levine in Somato-Experiencing and trauma work, and with Dr. Ray Castellino in pre- and peri-natal therapy. He is keen to develop an integrated therapeutic approach using skills from different backgrounds. Jim brings a depth of experience and an infectious sense of humour to his seminars.
Steve is a craniosacral therapist, McTimoney chiropractor and shiatsu practitioner with a practice in North London. He is on the teaching faculty of the University of Westminster and jointly runs the CTET teaching clinic in London for craniosacral students and recent graduates. He also teaches basic Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology at the College of Practical Homeopathy. His background includes practising lots of yoga and many years' working with people living with immune disorders and mental health problems.
Michael Kern is a Craniosacral Therapist, Osteopath and Naturopath with a practice in London. He has been teaching Craniosacral Therapy courses since 1987 and is a leading international exponent of the Biodynamic approach, regularly teaching classes in U.S.A., Switzerland, Spain and Italy. He is co-founder of the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust, a senior tutor for the College of Osteopaths, the International Cranial Association and the University of Westminster. He is also author of the visionary book 'Wisdom In The Body - The Craniosacral Approach To Essential Health' (2nd edition pub: North Atlantic Books 2005). His other interests include travel and mountains. He spent a number of years in Asia studying with leading Buddhist masters.
Sally has wide experience in the fields of business and further education. She trained in Therapeutic Massage and NLP in the 1980's and developed a passion for Craniosacral Therapy when it proved to be the catalyst for her own healing following a major accident. She runs a busy Craniosacral practice in London and is an active council member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association UK. She is an avid networker and creates balance through her love of her partner, friends, music, travel and a keen interest in physical fitness.
Sarah is a craniosacral therapist with over thirty years of experience working with people in a variety of settings. She was originally a social worker working with emotionally disturbed individuals. She has a first class degree in Psychology, trained as a Gestalt Psychotherapist and is a qualified teacher having taught communication skills, self-awareness workshops and run her own trainings in massage, anatomy and physiology for many years. She has also taught anatomy and physiology for the British School of Complementary Medicine and the Association of Reflexologists. Sarah currently co-ordinates a Mother and Baby Clinic in London, runs workshops at 'The Active Birth Centre' and assists on the CTET Practitioner Training. She is passionate about supporting women into motherhood and especially interested in how our emotional and psychological world affects our health.
Colin qualified as a Craniosacral practitioner in 1990. He has a busy private practice in West Wales where he lives with his wife and daughter. Colin brings great heart, creativity and humour to his teaching work. He also teaches at the Karuna Institute and internationally. His other loves include Zen Buddhism, gardening and poetry.
Franklyn has been working in the cranial field for over 20 years and now focuses on the training of teachers and practitioners in the cranial concept. He is co-founder of the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust and director of the Karuna Institute in Devon. Franklyn is considered to be one of the innovators in the field, and is author of the pioneering books 'Craniosacral Biodynamics' and 'The Polarity Process'. He has a background in medical sciences and research, and his interest in orthodox anatomy and physiology has continued to grow every year. He is also a qualified psychotherapist and teaches on the professional training in Core Process Psychotherapy, a Buddhist oriented therapy form. Franklyn has a background in Buddhist teachings and considers them to be the foundation of his approach to being in the world. He is married and has two daughters.
Fatima Da Silva qualified as a craniosacral therapist in 1999. She works as a co-ordinator at the student clinic for second year craniosacral students and as an assistant tutor on the CTET practitoner training. She also assists on the Living Anatomy course and on advanced craniosacral courses in Italy. She is a qualified Chi Kung Teacher and runs her own Chi Kung classes and a busy practice in London. Her background also involves Swedish and Oriental Massage as well as much experience of working with people with learning disabilities (PWLD) and mental health problems.
Anne qualified as a Physiotherapist in Denmark in 1995, and in Craniosacral Therapy in 2004 with the Trust. She has extensive experience in physiotherapy, having worked in the NHS (hospital and outpatient clinics) as well as in the private health sector. She is the lead physiotherapist of a busy private health clinic in North London, where she also practices Craniosacral Therapy. Anne is an active Committee member of CTACP (Craniosacral Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists), and her other passions are her family, her garden and allotment, knitting and occasional drumming.
Katherine practised osteopathy for many years before qualifying as a Craniosacral Therapist. Her extensive cranial training began in 1987 and gradually led her to studying with Franklyn Sills. She is currently a Senior Tutor at the Karuna Institute, teaching on the foundation training as well as advanced courses for qualified Craniosacral Therapists and Cranial Osteopaths. In addition, she is a course co-ordinator for practitioner trainings in Switzerland and the U.S.A. Katherine is also an artist and paints textiles for interiors and designs for the theatre. She lives in Devon with her husband, daughter and a scruffy dog.
Erwin is an enthusiastic craniosacral teacher and practitioner with a broad and extensive training. He has a multidisciplinary background of more than 20 years and is co-founder of the Shiatsu Training Program, Belgium, as well as a graduate of the International Shiatsu School and Castellino Pre-Natal and Birth Therapy. He has taught craniosacral therapy courses in the UK and Belgium, and is currently a tutor at the University of Westminster in London. He also runs post-graduate workshops for qualified craniosacral therapists, and has a private practice in North London. For many years he served on the Council of the Craniosacral Therapy Association.
