A VISIONARY APPROACH TO CRANIOSACRAL WORK

For craniosacral therapists and cranial osteopaths

FEBRUARY 4TH TO 7TH 2010

WITH HUGH MILNE

What interests me is the real person: a unique individual whose craniosacral breath is the expression and result of their unique story. Most people would rather you listen to their story (both verbal and somatic) than grant their wish. In my experience of this work, it is all about consciousness and this is what I would like to teach. In a visionary approach to craniosacral work, we are interested in creating the space to allow this perception of the other to develop and to facilitate a dipping below the threshold of appearances into the depth of being.

A set schedule or paradigm tends to inhibit the kind of spontaneity and responsiveness that is the essence of gifted healing work, so this class will respond to its participants, their needs, interests and where they are on the path of skill development, to better cultivate the gift of seeing things clearly. We will anchor our work with PowerPoint presentations, anatomical models and demonstrations of visionary work by the teacher. We will use poetry, process work, storytelling, medical intuitive techniques and work in small groups. Approximately half of each day will be devoted to hands on work.
